I have BPD and I’m so sick of everyone acting like we are heartless terrible beings. I’ve got issues but I am NOT incapable of love! You cannot say people who have these disorders are all bad. It’s wrong. That being said there ARE definitely some issues we have but please stop saying it’s ALL of us.

I have a loved one with BPD. Listening to this podcast made me feel hopeless about them, because at times the host explicitly encourages the listener not to hold out any hope of the person with BPD changing or their symptoms improving. While I appreciate that the host was just sharing his own experience, I often felt that he was extremely stigmatizing of people with BPD.

I agree with the other reviewer on here who stated how harmful this was for people with actual BPD. people with BPD do not lack empathy—-you’re talking about Narcissism and NPD, which are on the opposite side of this spectrum. I have friend who is diagnosed BPD, while I am on the spectrum, and I came here hoping to continue my healing and DBT skills.
