  • I’m “cluster b”

I have BPD and I’m so sick of everyone acting like we are heartless terrible beings. I’ve got issues but I am NOT incapable of love! You cannot say people who have these disorders are all bad. It’s wrong. That being said there ARE definitely some issues we have but please stop saying it’s ALL of us.

  • Approach with caution

I have a loved one with BPD. Listening to this podcast made me feel hopeless about them, because at times the host explicitly encourages the listener not to hold out any hope of the person with BPD changing or their symptoms improving. While I appreciate that the host was just sharing his own experience, I often felt that he was extremely stigmatizing of people with BPD.

The point of this review isn’t to discourage you from listening. I think the host is sharing a valuable perspective on how fr... more

  • Misleading and Stigmatizing

I agree with the other reviewer on here who stated how harmful this was for people with actual BPD. people with BPD do not lack empathy—-you’re talking about Narcissism and NPD, which are on the opposite side of this spectrum. I have friend who is diagnosed BPD, while I am on the spectrum, and I came here hoping to continue my healing and DBT skills. However, these episodes seem to really feed into the negative stigmatization of Borderlines and harmful for those who are doing their best to heal.... more

  • Ruined my night.

I was diagnosed with BPD 4 years ago and I struggle with it, however every day I try to be a better loving person for the few people I DEARLY love and care about. I came to this podcast to help better myself, and after listening to ‘You can’t Fix What you Didn’t break,’ I feel like I’m a horrible person that can’t change, because I “lack empathy.” From the sounds of the author, he should take a step back and look at WHY he stayed in this unhappy marriage for so long. If you have BPD you should c... more

  • Nails it! Succinctly perfect.

So grateful for this podcast - he’s so well versed and to the point and tugs at the heartstrings of those in a BPD relationship - it’s everything you need to hear to get the craziness of what you’re in. Can’t give enough accolades to my inner torch.
