  • Incredible conversations!

Jennica doesn’t have a podcast to sell something. She doesn’t do it because she has to. She is not trying to maintain a brand. She does because she is curious and loves talking to people, to genuinely understand them and have them tell their story.

  • Very eye-opening and thought provoking podcast!

Very eye-opening. I think it’s easy to become so absorbed in our own lives that we forget to consider everything else going on around us. This podcast does a great job of highlighting the unique stories of others while also demonstrating the commonalities between each person’s own human experience. No two of us are exactly alike, and yet, we’re not so different after all.

A combination of wanting to heal from trauma, the search for meaning after leaving the Marines, and a gradual exploration of different modalities, eventually settling on Zen/Vipassana-style practice.
103 PTSD to Peace: How Meditation Changed My Life
Q: What did that PTSD look like for you? How did it manifest for you?
It showed up as constant dread, hypervigilance, and a craving for adrenaline; I struggled with depression and risky behaviors, and I used meditation as a path to steady myself and find balance.
0101 The Hidden Link Between Mental Health and Physical Disease
Q: Can you just begin a little bit from where it all begins for you? Where does your story begin?
Bob explains his background as an athlete who shifted into medicine, influenced by a family history in healthcare, and describes a lifelong interest in the broader dimensions of medicine beyond pure science, which shaped his holistic approach.
098 Inside the Troubled Teen Industry: Kidnapped to Be ‘Fixed’
Q: What kind of wording can parents look out for when browsing treatment programs?
Look for language that suggests the child is the problem or that the program will 'fix' the child. Phrases about obedience are red flags.
098 Inside the Troubled Teen Industry: Kidnapped to Be ‘Fixed’
Q: What advice can you give to a parent who might be considering something like this?
Parents should talk to their children first and really try to understand their issues rather than seeking a quick fix.
