  • The laughter

I’m two episodes in (starting from newer episodes) and all of the laughter from the guests when describing this is distracting. Maybe it’s nervous laughter, or embarrassing recounting these memories.

  • Eye opening

I heard your story on “what was that like.” I’d like to say that I’ve never been in an abusive relationship but I do not believe that is the case. I was raised by my dad, throwing hay bales, steer wrestling and being the son he never had. Thus far, I’ve been able to stand toe to toe with anyone I’ve ever dated if I had to. I believe because of my upbringing my chapter ended way different than most. That doesn’t negate the fact that I did, in fact, physically fight my way out of it. I never once... more

I appreciate listening to these stories. As a law enforcement officer, this has opened my eyes as to what could be happening when I respond to these calls. It has helped me to listen more. My biggest question has always been “why don’t you leave?” Now I’m hearing and understanding how hard that is to do.

You have some incredibly brave, resilient storytellers on your show.

  • Appalling

Bill is doing a good thing by allowing victims to share their experiences. I am still baffled as to why people are encouraging Michelle Locke. She treats domestic violence victims like dirt. She’ll step on anyone’s neck to get ahead. I find it particularly disgusting that female judges who claim to be DV survivors represent and defend abusive fathers. Abhorrent!
