  • Inside the clubhouse

David. I just heard you say the cubs may be distancing themselves from Matt Shaw because he’s gonna speak at a remembrance of Charlie Kirk. Lol. Aaron Judge said 80 percent of MLB players are conservative. Who cares. You are a total joke and are ruining the weekday morning show and the baseball show. Not to mention the excessive swallowing all the time while drinking your coffee.

  • Mute the host

Would have giving it a 5 star, love the guest they bring on. The production needs to mute the host who’s drinking coffee and shuffling papers while the guest are speaking. Super annoying listening to the sipping and throat clearing of this hosts coffee experience .

I love listening to David Haugh, but I wish there was a setting that I could mute Mully. I don’t know what I hate more, his stupid laugh or 15 minute questions. I would give the show 5 stars but I have to deduct 2 for me having to listen to mully.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Could the Bears be interested in Dexter Lawrence?
Q: Mike, what do you think about Dexter Lawrence forcing a trade and the Giants' willingness to pay more to keep him?
Lawrence's value is rising with the market, and his leverage comes from the potential to command a significantly higher annual salary. The Giants could pay him fairly to keep him, but other teams may present appealing offers that tempt the Giants to consider trades if they feel they can still compete while reallocating cap space. The situation illustrates how contracts in the NFL are dynamic and can be renegotiated when a player's market value climbs.
Best of the Bulls: Will Billy Donovan remain with the organization or leave?
Q: Do you think Billy Donovan is viewed as a long-term part of the Bulls' plan by this new GM pool?
Most speakers believe Donovan is highly respected and valuable, but there is debate about whether the next GM would want to work with him or bring in their own coach; the consensus is that Donovan's future is tied to how the organization articulates its long-term plan.
Are there early concerns for the Cubs? (Hour 2)
Q: How are you balancing health, development, and workload for players like Danny Palencia when considering their usage?
The pitching coach indicated that usage is guided by game state and overall workload, with careful monitoring after World Baseball Classic exposure; the goal is to keep players healthy while ensuring they get exposure to high-leverage situations when appropriate.
Are there early concerns for the Cubs? (Hour 2)
Q: Is there still any kind of a hangover from the World Baseball Classic for the Cubs pitchers, and should we expect lasting effects early in the season?
The guest explained that while there can be a short-term 'hangover' when players are thrust into playoff-like environments, the focus is on ramping them up, maintaining delivery consistency, and gradually building back the routine; injuries and workload are monitored, but the general direction is to get back to a reliable foundation and execute.
How fast is Pete Crow-Armstrong? (Hour 3)
Q: How do you balance honoring past teams with building a program that can compete now in today's college basketball landscape?
He notes the importance of respecting history but tailoring approach to current contexts, maintaining grit, assembling a strong staff, and keeping players connected and confident to execute on the court.
