  • Inside the clubhouse

David. I just heard you say the cubs may be distancing themselves from Matt Shaw because he’s gonna speak at a remembrance of Charlie Kirk. Lol. Aaron Judge said 80 percent of MLB players are conservative. Who cares. You are a total joke and are ruining the weekday morning show and the baseball show. Not to mention the excessive swallowing all the time while drinking your coffee.

  • Mute the host

Would have giving it a 5 star, love the guest they bring on. The production needs to mute the host who’s drinking coffee and shuffling papers while the guest are speaking. Super annoying listening to the sipping and throat clearing of this hosts coffee experience .

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Best of the Cubs: Pete Crow-Armstrong is MLB's 'dream'
Q: With Otani also in the MVP discussion, how do you weigh Otani's pitching value against PCA's overall contributions?
The discussion highlights Otani's pitching workload and defensive limitations against PCA's extensive defensive innings and baserunning, suggesting a nuanced balance where PCA's complete skill set and base running could tip the scale in his favor if offensive pace and health stay strong.
Best of the Cubs: Pete Crow-Armstrong is MLB's 'dream'
Q: What has been the best part of watching PCA this year, aside from his on-field stats?
The panel emphasizes his personality, leadership, and ability to engage with fans, turning the Cubs' offense into a relentless, late-clutch unit, while also noting how he handles polarization from fans and media with confidence and charm.
Chris Emma breaks down what he saw from Bears against Bengals, transition (Hour 4)
Q: Chris, you were able to see Dexter Lawrence up close and personal also at all the training camps and the joint practices. Is he as much of a game wrecker as Ben Johnson was alluding to, or was that just coach speak talking the guy up?
Emma suggests that Lawrence is indeed disruptive and impactful in practices, drawing comparisons to past playmakers and underscoring his influence on the line and game planning.
Clay Harbor had no problem with Bears starters playing, Bruce Levine talks Cubs & White Sox (Hour 2)
Q: Bruce, what can you tell us about Drew Thorpe and his potential return to the White Sox?
Bruce explains Thorpe's status as a prospect with Nick name 'backwards pitcher' due to his change-up heavy approach, building up innings in the minors, and the likelihood of a call-up in the coming weeks, depending on ongoing health and development.
Sharing our expectations for Bears skill position players, Jim Miller likes seeing starters play in the preseason (Hour 3)
Q: From a quarterback's perspective, what are you actually learning or how much meaning is there from those five throws in a preseason game?
Any opportunity you get to compete, especially in a new offense, provides reps that help the quarterback grow; more reps are better for calibration and comfort with the playbook.
