Stop putting entire radio commercial breaks in the podcast episodes. If I wanted to skip through the ads I would just listen to YouTube.

  • Remove J Hood everybody else in this show is phenomenal from Kap Shea

This is one of my favorite shows. I’ve been following cap for ever since WGN days and I love capping company when they took it away. It was a big mistake from the old bosses and they replaced it and put J hood in. NSR it’s one of my favorite shows in the morning and sometimes I have to listen to the other station because J Hood is not knowledgeable. He’s one-sided and if you argue with him or talk over him, he gets so sensitive and it seems like every time somebody passes. He just laughs away an... more

  • J. Hood > Kap

The show is great but it should be the “J. Hood, Shea , and J. Moore show”. Kap causes me to turn the show off

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

7/28 8AM: Albert Breer
Q: Albert, how does Shanahan's accident affect the 49ers and Brock Purdy in the hands-on coaching sense?
Breer explains the staff is deep and well-coached to cover for Shanahan temporarily, but acknowledges that no head coach has hands in everything like Shanahan did, so there could be a disconnect initially until the system settles.
7/27 6AM: My Kind Of Town Chicago Is: Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox & Chicago Cubs!
Q: Good, just got a quick question about these Cubs' prospects. Do you think we're trying to sweeten the deal on the trade value coming up, or what's the game plan with these guys?
Luca suggests the Cubs want the 26 best players in the system up for the stretch run, with a focus on versatility and readiness, while balancing development and roster needs; the front office will likely push hard for high-impact, cost-controlled players.
7/17 7AM: Jesse Rogers
Q: What was the process like in the White Sox draft room for the first pick?
Rogers describes a true debate between two players, with the loser of the debate taking the second spot, and emphasizes the collaboration across departments leading to the final decision.
7/2 8AM: Mark Schlereth
Q: What is the difference between a playmaker and a quarterback in your view?
A playmaker can make spectacular off-script plays, but a quarterback transitions from those moments into a consistent, textbook progression read and decision-making that sustains drives and minimizes mistakes.
7/2 8AM: Mark Schlereth
Q: Can you explain yourself when you said he's not a good quarterback?
I said he has unbelievable dynamic playmaking ability, but his footwork, progression reads, and accuracy can be inconsistent at times, which is why he isn't polished yet as a quarterback.
