Amazing podcast with super interesting perspectives and good vibes
Love love love the episode Hunger! It’s a really good listen and gave me some good things to journal about. Definitely will check out more of the episodes.
This podcast makes me feel like I’m no longer screaming into the void about representation. I’m not alone in the world anymore.
This podcast means the literal world to me. It’s helped me understand fat phobia and helped me become a much better fat activist. Abby is my hero honestly.
Also- if you haven’t already- could you do an episode intro talking about fat representation in anime?
There is definitely a lack of this content out there - it’s so nice to hear about size and weight in the entertainment industry talked about so honestly and positivity. 10/10 recommend this podcast!
Thank you for taking the opportunity to highlight what I believe is the last socially acceptable form of discrimination in society. I love the introductions you do, I could honestly listen to a whole hour of that! It’s great to hear you talking about so much of your lived experience and I can relate so much to many of the anecdotes you tell despite being from the UK and not a performer of the arts. I am not so bold to say this podcast has changed my confidence, body image or self esteem but it i... more
Abby is so thoughtful, articulate and RELATABLE. I listened to the most recent episode on a mini road trip today and I was baffled by how Abby was able to string so many of my recent internal struggles into such perfect sentences. She is candid and doesn’t shy away from the realities of confronting her own complex relationship with her body and the world it inhabits.
Abby and her guests have opened my mind to how fat phobic and exclusive so much of the world is, particularly in theater and in entertainment. It shouldn’t be solely on fat folks to do this work to make the rest of us aware of their experiences, but I’m really grateful to Abby for creating this space and sharing her stories and those of her guests.
This is one of the best podcasts out there for this subject. Abby’s fun and informational approach brings in lots of aspects of the Arts and Fat Representation in a really professional manner. Every episode is great listen and truly good stuff!
I love this podcast! The guests are each so talented and interesting. Plus Abby is really funny passionate and inquisitive. I love this show and am so happy I found it.
Understanding and dismantling fatphobia is absolutely critical, and Abby’s podcast offers the perspectives we desperately need. Listening to these episodes has expanded my mind and motivated me to be more vocal when I notice fatphobia in my day-to-day life. I’m so grateful for Abby’s work! This podcast is beyond worth listening to (and listening again and again and again).
Fatphobia is definitely some everyone over a certain size deals with in our world, and it’s great to see people discussing how was can change that. Fat isn’t a bad word, it doesn’t mean ugly or unworthy of love. It’s a body type and that’s all. I love hearing from likeminded people!
Abby Rose Morris brings together industry knowledge and insightful guests with her personal passion and interest in fat representation and body positivity in entertainment in this new podcast. The first episodes have been both interesting and enlightening, and I can’t wait for more!
Already hooked on this! Such an important topic to talk about, and Abby does it in such a smart and engaging way.
A topic that pertains to so many women because, as she says, the entertainment industry is not representative of average sized women. Coming from a person who often struggles to maintain focus on podcasts this one is very relatable and super worth the listen!
