The main reason I listen to this is to get the general overview on as many topics as possible. What puts me off is that one moderator comes across as naive or is out of her depth even as she seeks to lead guests down her fixed political line. Aside from that, I like the range.
This can be really good- but Latina Burke is just that!
I listen everyday. Monocle is lifeblood. Georgina Godwin is easily the most underrated and greatest host of all time.
Andrew Mueller is also extremely good!
Listen. Learn. Get smarter.
While this podcast’s team does bring some excellent guests to cover a wide spectrum of topics, they repeat some of the political rhetoric and terminology spewed by certain segments of the political right. If the producers could fix that, The Globalist would make for a more balanced listen.
Unfortunately there is no escape from biased news reporting. I listen to get a full spectrum view of global news, but it can be challenging at times to get through. The host does a better job of masking her leaning on events, which I appreciate
