Insufferable. Love to virtue signal, love to share that they are “successful”, hate to share the true details of their financial journey unless they are positive. Not relatable.
The last episode really hit home. Although I am older than Bridget and Alyssa, I have gained a lot of knowledge from listening to their podcast. Plus I have a few books to read in the new year thanks to them.
I really love listening to these honest conversations about money and the two hosts always make me smile. Both Bridgette and Allyssa share their individual and differing perspectives and are uniquely themselves, which gives their listeners permission to be ourselves too. Great social commentary — it’s always capitalism! — and always leaves me with something to think about. Plus I love the laughter.
I found episode 42 very one-sided when two hosts agree on everything. It becomes an echo chamber rather than a real discussion for a fair. Look at life insurance invite a knowledgeable expert like Doug Andrew, who understands how properly funded universal life or whole life policies work listeners deserve, balanced information, not bias or misinformation about products. They clearly didn’t fully research.

Money-focused discussions that mix approachable personal finance with social and political angles, hosted by two Canadian women who bring contrasting personalities to topics like budgeting, consumption, and economic policy. Episodes frequently explore emotional aspects of money, gender dynamics, and ethical questions around wealth, with a preference for practical takeaways and a progressive lens. Notable for candid, sometimes fiery exchanges between hosts, a emphasis on real-world applicability, and a willingness to tackle systemic issues alongside everyday money management.
