I look forward to listening to this podcast every week, it’s my favorite podcast! I really appreciate both Alyssa and Bridget’s takes, I think they bring different perspectives and knowledge to issues, which is really valuable. I love how they tackle personal finance topics like the TFSA vs RRSP in an accessible way, and tackle economic issues like lack of affordable housing and healthcare. It feels rare to find a personal finance podcast with a progressive lens, so I really appreciate it. The p... more
How can B come off as such a know it all and yet still hog the spotlight by saying over and over again she doesn’t get A’s pov? A was fighting for her life trying to get through this ep.
Edit: I rated this podcast 5 stars (original review below) back when it was on its first season. I’ve been a weekly listener mostly since but recently something has changed. I’m not sure if Bridget is starting to become out of touch or if it is related to her decision to move away from influencing but it seems like she is not invested in the content of this podcast anymore. I’m learning so much thanks to Bridget and Alyssa. As someone trying to become more financially aware and literate, it’s so nice to hear financial thoughts and insights from a local, Canadian perspective. Keep it going!
Typically listen to all episodes and love the variety of topics and guests. I find Alyssa refreshing, relatable and empathetic in her approach to money. Bridget is starting to really dampen this podcast - I was looking forward to the episode on play, but couldn’t even finish it because of Bridget’s repeated emotionally stunted responses 😔 This has occurred in a few episodes.
