I was working on a project looking at how hormones affect fertility but pivoted to parental behavior after experiencing motherhood.

I have always been fascinated by mothers in general, including animal mothers, and I eventually studied biology focusing on reproductive physiology.

While there were associations, the effects connecting attachment and brain measures are not very strong; however, time spent with the child contributes to neuroplasticity.
