I love listening to mmh… watcha say. Before this podcast I already used to listen to vow to view. I wasn’t sure what to expect of the new podcast, because I liked the O.C. television series but wasn’t a huge fan. Now, this is my favourite podcast and I can never wait until the new episode comes out. The analysis of the episodes is entertaining and insightful and it throws me back into my teenage years. The personal note of rosies and thornies is a lot of fun and I’m also a big fan of Scotts ra... more
Vow to View is one of my personal favorite podcasts! Scott Daly & his wife, Elyse are charming and often hilarious. Every week they discuss life, the Bachelor (often at Scott's Dismay) and film so they can learn more about each other. Elyse is a joy to listen to as she will spontaneously start singing or whimsically annoy Scott from time to time. Scott has a true passion for film and film analysis and always does his best to make sure Elyse catches up on essential titles. This is a fun podcast t... more
Scott and Elyse come together at least once a week to talk about movies and TV shows that they each enjoy, along with their Rosies and Thornies – their high and low points of the week. It's a great insight into how a couple can approach media, and life in general, together. Each episode delves deep into a theme, where Scott picks a classic piece of film or tv history that Elyse didn't see at the time, and Elyse picks something nobody has ever watched or wanted to watch, ever, like a Mary-Kate an... more
This adorable married couple makes listening to movies that I've never seen (and in most of Elyse's cases, never want to see) entertaining from start to finish. Additionally, I get just as much fun out of listening to the rose/thorn segments and general bicker/banter as the movie reviews. Whether it's Elyse's weird body stuff, Scott retching over The Bachelor & Ette, or jiving to a movie decades my senior, I always have a good hour thanks to vow to view.
To listen, or not to listen, that is the question:
Whether 'tis better a couple who podcasts out there?
The quips and laughs of outrageous personality,
Or to take part hearing a disagreement they share, And by opposing eventually, Elyse will win. To live—to listen,
Always more; So good night, good night. Parting is such sweet sorrow, it is good that I know they will be back next week.
