  • Fantastic and useful sessions

I’ve found the first two sessions really helpful, especially considering the current situation we find ourselves in! It’s helped me find a greater sense of peace and calm some of my anxieties, really recommend to anyone wanting to do the same, or those that just want to find out what mindfulness actually is!

Consider what brings you joy and what you can schedule into your life.
Mark Williams - Deeper Mindfulness: The New Way to Rediscover Calm in a Chaotic World
Q: When I say it's okay to pleasant and joyful experiences, I feel it's not as natural as saying it's okay to something unpleasant. What is the purpose of saying okay to something pleasant?
It’s important to practice acknowledging pleasant feelings to counter patterns of dampening joy, helping to create a new habit of allowing positivity without fear of loss.
Mark Williams - Deeper Mindfulness: The New Way to Rediscover Calm in a Chaotic World
Q: What is it that makes a difference to our next moment? Is it purely shining the light of awareness onto the feeling tone and then allowing it?
Shining awareness on feelings de-automatizes reactions, reducing the grip of past emotional responses and allowing for more mindful interactions with experiences.
Mark Williams - Deeper Mindfulness: The New Way to Rediscover Calm in a Chaotic World
Q: As the body is allocating resources all the time, do we get tired?
Yes, the constant allocation of resources does contribute to tiredness, which is why we need breaks and rest.
Mark Williams - Deeper Mindfulness: The New Way to Rediscover Calm in a Chaotic World
Q: I'm currently halfway through the new book, and I have trouble simply noticing the feeling tone of things.
It's very common to get caught up in evaluating feelings rather than just noticing them. Try to discern if the evaluation itself is pleasant or unpleasant, and recognize that this process will improve with practice.
