Update 1-27-26
On a flight catching up on a bunch of travel/points & miles podcasts I’ve missed the past couple of weeks. In doing so it’s more apparent how Shawn & Mark don’t care enough about their listeners to acknowledge and correct the mixing. I have tired of having to pull out my phone or watch to increase the volume, only to do it again when the next podcast is too loud.

I’m a points and miles obsessive and travel, on average, once a month. I consume a lot of credit card points content. I’ve started to not be as excited to listen to MTM Travel because, whatever the news is or whatever trip they do, I know they are going to complain. Yes, prices are going up on everything including annual fees and monthly credits can be annoying to use at times, but we are still getting significantly discounted travel and experiences that would be hard to get without credit cards... more
If you listen in a quiet environment you might learn something or at the very least be entertained. The host's mic levels are so low hearing what they are saying is difficult.
Episodes are too long and could be cut down without all the fluff. They need to crank their mics because the audio levels are way too low.
