  • Makes me laugh out loud

I listen with one AirPod in while cleaning up my kitchen, so no one can hear or really see that I’m listening to anything. Then when I burst out laughing and look like a crazy person, I have to tell my kids, “Leora and her sister have a podcast and it’s really funny.” And then my kids look at me and nod and say, “Okay, sure mommy.”So thanks for that.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Eat, Pray, Please Don’t Split the 401(k): Menopause, Marriage Sabbaticals & the Audacity of Wanting Your Own Life with Leah Fisher | Episode 62
Q: How did you negotiate with your husband to make this possible?
Eliana and Leah discuss a collaborative negotiation where each partner names what is important to them, culminating in four-month travel blocks with supportive involvement from the husband and an understanding that the plan is for personal growth, not a dissolution of the relationship.
Snake Oil, Snail Mucin & SPF: The Skincare Scam Episode With Dr. Fayne Frey | Ep. 57
Q: Why do cosmetic brands keep pushing 'anti-aging' claims?
Because anti-aging is a powerful marketing hook that triggers spending; the industry relies on buzzwords and packaging variety rather than real, lasting changes in skin structure.
Snake Oil, Snail Mucin & SPF: The Skincare Scam Episode With Dr. Fayne Frey | Ep. 57
Q: Is hormone replacement therapy a viable option for improving skin aging?
Not typically. HRT is generally considered for symptom relief beyond skin changes, and using it solely for cosmetic skin benefits is not common due to risk-benefit considerations.
Snake Oil, Snail Mucin & SPF: The Skincare Scam Episode With Dr. Fayne Frey | Ep. 57
Q: What truly works to improve aging skin beyond expensive creams?
Focus on general health, daily sunscreen, a good moisturizer, and a simple skincare routine. There's no magic product that reverses aging; consistency and protection from sun damage are key, and prescription solutions are typically reserved for medical conditions, not cosmetic aging.
Hot Mess Sisterhood of the Traveling Piles: Dana K. White Declutters the Chaos | Ep. 49
Q: How do you handle items with sentimental value?
Place them in a designated space limited by containers, but only if they truly fit; otherwise, keep the best representations and let go of the rest.
