Dr. Barbie Taylor, also known as “Menopause Taylor,” is an Obstetrician / Gynecologist who retired from active practice in 2001 due to severe arthritis. Despite the fact that she had a law degree and a master’s in business at the time of her retirement (she’s a real nerd and loves school), her true passion has always been helping women.

Meh. After you get past her shrill, silly delivery, you get a lot of incorrect info. Progesterone is not only for pregnant women, compounded estradiol is not "incapabale of preventing disease." And dismissing the importance of lifting heavy weights is absurd, and explains why she is frail & has osteopenia. She recommends whole grain cereal, vegetable and seed oils, and 100% plant based diets for menopausal women. Terrible advice. "The more gas you have, the healthier your diet is." Oof
I have learned so much from Dr Taylor. At 52 I am a breast cancer survivor with Osteoporosis in our family and also having had a recent hysterectomy I have so much to get information on. I look forward to each episode and the massive amounts of info!!!
I’ve learned so much from Dr. Taylor. She explains everything in a way I can understand. I also enjoy watching her YouTube channel because she uses props. So clever. Enjoy her personality and she makes me feel good about this transition.
Im a board certified internist and going through some perimenopausal stuff myself. Found Dr Taylor by referral of the amazing “Hot and Flashy” series on you tube. I’ve done my own investigation on the WHI and its devastating fallout. Not too many physicians talking about this stuff because updates in medical guidelines trail eons behind new information. Kudos to Dr Taylor and a few other trailblazers for bringing the forgotten benefits of HRT out of the shadows.
Not horrible. You have to get past her shrill, silly delivery. You're a woman. Talk like one. Also, dismissing the importance of lifting heavy weights is absurd, yet it absolutely explains why she is frail and has osteopenia. She acknowledges the benefit of organ meats and says she tries to be unbiased, but recommends whole grain cereal, vegetable and seed oils, and 100% plant based diets for menopausal women. Terrible advice. "The more gas you have, the healthier your diet is." Oof
