Came for movie reviews, got comic book movie talk and virtue signaling. Outta sight.
Refreshingly open minded approach to Noir that moves well beyond the classic era to the present day - this approach breathes fresh life into this iconic movie scene making it timeless and the eps a fascinating listen.

A provocative show that treats film noir as a living field, blending rigorous genre analysis with cultural context. Frequent discussions around iconic films, director choices, and performance dynamics create a portrait of noir as a perpetually evolving genre, appealing to cinephiles, students, and industry professionals seeking thoughtful critique and fresh perspectives.
Noteworthy angles include cross-media connections (e.g., comparisons to modern thrillers, sci-fi intersections, and TV noir-adjacent works) and a consistent emphasis on how form—script, score, production design, and performance—sha... more
