  • Much deeper understanding!

I make at point of listening to both the sermon from each week and its corresponding Beyond the Notes podcast multiple times each week. It has given me a richer, more complete understanding of the Gospel of John in context. Thank you for all the work you put into this! You can’t see us listening, but we are. May our Heavenly Father richly bless this ministry as He keeps us humble and learning.

Hot Topic: Thinking Biblically About the Differences Between Catholicism and Evangelicalism - Part 3
Q: Could you explain limbo?
Limbo is not an official Catholic doctrine but a historically discussed hypothesis about unbaptized infants; contemporary Catholic teaching does not require it, and it is treated as a debated concept rather than a dogmatic position.
Hot Topic: Thinking Biblically About the Differences Between Catholicism and Evangelicalism - Part 3
Q: Is the catechism biblically based?
No; while Catholics view tradition and scripture together, the catechism is heavily influenced by tradition, more than by scripture, from a fair-minded evangelical perspective.
Hot Topic: Thinking Biblically About the Differences Between Catholicism and Evangelicalism - Part 3
Q: What is the best way to open up a conversation with a Catholic friend or family member?
Speak with kindness and patience, aim to build a relationship first, and steer toward areas of agreement before addressing disagreements to keep the conversation constructive.
Isaiah 6:1-8 - Here I AM! Send Me.
Q: What will you do to respond to God's call?
Take steps towards readiness, such as acquiring a passport or learning how to share your faith.
