  • Used to be great

This was a great lighthearted show when it was during afternoon drive time. Now they’ve ’improved’ most of the fun out of it, fast food review, would you rather, millennial march game, Russ in Gainesville, movie Monday, all gone. Random topics that were politically inspired but not actually political, those were great too. Now it’s news heavy, and political opinions from someone with a surface level knowledge who parrots mass media which is often misleading if not outright false. A big chunk of ... more

  • Where’s the joy, the fun?

I no longer live in ATL and never missed a podcast episode…. but no more. Don’t like the new format since the move to mornings. I’ve tried, but it’s too much, too many politics, miss the banter, the lighter topics, miss Lil Sanjay, Russ, etc

  • Amazing Host & Crew, Great Topics

The Mark Arum Show is fantastic. Mark is truly the voice of the people. He comes up with the most random, interesting topics that everyone can relate to. No politics in this show, even though it’s on the local Atlanta talk station. You will love the trivia game Millennial Match Game”, The Fast Food Review, Would You Rather, and calls from Russ in Gainesville. Shoutout to the bananas: Deborah Green, Longoria, & Low T.

  • Not as entertaining anymore

Loved listening to this cast. But recently too much talk about politics, news and sports. There’s enough of those topics already, especially on this broadcast station.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Mark Arum Show 04-06-26 HR 2
Q: What are your thoughts on the Democratic side for the primary in Georgia?
The guest suggests Democrats could be strategic by backing a candidate with broad appeal to swing voters, like Michael Thurman, rather than sticking with more polarizing figures; he also notes Keisha Lance Bottoms is a weakened candidate in a primary context, and Jeff Duncan could be a wildcard, depending on how primary dynamics unfold.
The Mark Arum Show 04-10-26 HR 1
Q: Can you explain the strategic rationale behind having Vice President JD Vance engage in talks with Iran in Islamabad?
Having the vice president leads to a perception of seriousness and a balance between deterrence and diplomacy, signaling a credible US stance and potentially accelerating concessions from the Iranian side.
The Mark Arum Show 04-10-26 HR 1
Q: Olivia Rinaldi, what is the latest status of the discussions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, and how is the ceasefire progressing?
The talks are delicate and ongoing with a few ships still passing through; there is cautious optimism but no full reopening, and the administration continues to pressure Iran while seeking concrete commitments.
The Mark Arum Show 03-25-26 HR 2
Q: What would be the practical impact if the funding request is blocked by Congress on force readiness in the region?
Immediate effects would be an asset scramble and shifting priorities globally, while longer-term effects could include reduced readiness and slower restocking of critical munitions, impacting operations in the Gulf and surrounding theaters.
The Mark Arum Show 03-25-26 HR 2
Q: Colonel, can you walk us through what you see as the four possible paths forward for the war and which seems most likely given current signals?
The four options are negotiate, declare victory and leave, maintain a moderate escalation, or significantly escalate with additional force; the latest commentary suggests the administration leans toward maintaining options for escalation while exploring diplomatic channels, with the fourth goal of securing Hormuz transit as a critical priority.
