I thought I was well versed in the crimes of the Golden State Killer, EAR etc etc, but this podcast’s deep-dive approach and storytelling style has proven me wrong. What an excellent listen. Highly recommend.
Phenomenal listen, well researched, anybody who has ever heard about the Golden State killer but has never done a deep dive, this is a great podcast to start with, truly highlights everything in detail!
Hey dummies, the unnecessary music shouldn't be louder than the friggin audio.
Also, what is up with the narrator's voice? Either it is AI or this person is completely unfamiliar with how to speak like a human. "But nothing comes out of the ground" is one of countless examples of sentence that is spoken in an oddly unhuman way.
Would gladly pay not to have to hear that one stupid ad they clumsily and repeatedly place in the middle of the episodes - sometimes mid-sentence! What is the point? Literally no one listening to this podcast is ever going to listen to the LA Times sports podcast anyway, no matter how many times you interrupt the show to promote it.
There are some really good parts of this podcast. It is generally well written, and some of the interviews are compelling. However, the musical score is trite and annoying, as are the musical random interruptions by the LA Time sports Bureau ad. The biggest issue is the production value. Many of the interviews are conducted with bad microphones, so the sound quality suffers. The volume is significantly higher or lower depending on the speaker, making it very difficult to listen to this piece.
