I love this.
I'd rate this 3.5/5. A short fun musical about adolescence. As someone who never cared about prom even back in highschool, I found some of the importance characters placed on it unrelatable. But still. The actors had good voices and comedic timing (though some jokes and characters landed better than others for me). The instrumentation is pretty good, too.
This is exactly what I needed to stumble upon. I’ve missed Broadway shows already due to the pandemic and this helps. I only now wish it would be expanded to a full show.
Just what I needed as a COVID escape. Thanks for creating such a delightful, fun & sweet musical! And the voices/cast OMG.
I really LOVE the music and talented voices, but I feel the the show falls flat at dialogue, both lyrically and conversational.
The story matter is classically high school, but I felt that the writing did not meet the quality of the other story elements. The subject matter was also (self-described) as trope-filled, with occasional moments of surprise. I was also underwhelmed by its sound design. Once again, I have to give full credit to its stellar instrumentation, arrangements, and vocals.
This is really fun. I really did not expect to enjoy it, but I love it!
i love musicals, i love podcasts, i love things that show a diverse cast of characters including different people part of the lgbtq+ community. this podcast had all of that. also i love stories about teens going through weird and awkward situations, singing about them made it even better.
I was so excited by the premise of Loveville High even before hearing any of it and am even more excited now i’ve listened to 7 episodes! It’s very much a musical, in the best possible way. My favourite ep so far is ep 4 - no spoilers but loved how the story unfolded and the themes.
I’ve been trying to find good musical podcasts and this I relate to because I’m in high school. I love this so much and it’s really cool because you get to imagine the whole story in your head while listening to it.
Loveville high is a musical audio drama that is so cute and a ton of fun! The music and acting are both wonderful. Can't wait to hear the rest of the series!
Beautifully well written, acted, scored, and sung. Loveville high is clever and empathetic in ways most podcasts would only dream of
Really amazing lyrics and music
Great catchy songs, amazing singers (@haileykilgore @isaaccolepowell)
Quickly sketched vivid characters, excellent acting. great songs. My only gripe is that I WANT MORE.
