When it was on the subject of Lovecraft Country, the guests were phenomenal, but the hosts were so unprepared and lacked the necessary knowledge and cultural references for critique. One of the hosts mostly just agreed with the other. What was her purpose?
This podcast has potential. The two hosts will work out the bugs with sound and their delivery of the information. They get so many details wrong? It gets frustrating
I’m sure the hosts mean well & this is definitely not an indictment on them personally but strictly as hosts for this podcast there were quite a few instances I couldn’t help but feel like the low hanging fruit of interpretation was all they could provide. They seem to be entertained by the show overall but I never felt like they had a grasp on the reality of the traumas this show brought to light which made me question if they really knew what they were looking at.
