This used to be a good listen, but the last couple of seasons have been rubbish. The guests are one dimensional: boring, posh and very rarely are they actually even Londoners (hence why they know virtually nothing of any interest or significance about the areas they’re supposedly showing us around). The areas visited are often dull, a bit like timeout these days….yawn
This used to be quite a good listen but the last couple of seasons have been rubbish. The guests are one dimensional: boring, posh and very rarely are they actual Londoners (which explains why they know nothing about the areas they’re in). The areas visited are dull as ditchwater too. Interesting guests, great host - like mooching around London with some mates. Keep the episodes coming :)
It’s funny, informative, and a genuinely immersive way to experience parts of London that dont always get top billing in mainstream travel media. The presenter, Joe Mackertich, is great at striking a rapport with guests, balancing his own personality with allowing the guests to be themselves, tell stories about ‘their’ favourite bits of London. If you love London, this will 100% make you smile. Highly recommend!
A joyous blend of casual, cerebral, and silly. The Phil Wang episode is a standout.
