  • Don’t miss this top DTC pod!

Hands down - the top DTC pod for proven sales and marketing execution advice and strategies given with impeccable detail, backed by Nik’s direct experience with brands across multiple segments. As a traditional retail-experienced brand founder and operator who is new to DTC, I feel emboldened and better prepared to take my DTC brand from 0-1 by being a regular listener to Nik and Limited Supply.

  • Lack of research by hosts

I know this podcast is geared towards DTC mostly, but their discussion on Faire last year missed the mark. They seemed surprised by standard wholesale practices like offering products at keystone pricing (50% off), which is very typical and not some shocking discount. From my experience managing multiple brands on the platform, you can select who you sell to and are less likely to deal with the whole Amazon situation they were describing. Overall, the episode felt under-researched.

AI Landing Pages and Micro-Persona Ads (live from Verified, The Social Commerce Podcast)
Q: How should brands approach micro personas and multiple landing pages at scale?
Begin with a few validated micro personas that map to real audience segments, build AI-assisted landing pages around those personas, and iterate quickly. Use a modular design system to swap in persona-specific hooks and maintain a tight feedback loop with analytics to determine which angles perform best, then expand to additional personas as data supports them.
AI Landing Pages and Micro-Persona Ads (live from Verified, The Social Commerce Podcast)
Q: What are you seeing as the current state of social commerce and what works today?
Content-first brands that treat marketing as a continuous content production engine are proving effective, leveraging AI to generate multiple angles, and using micro-creators to scale different customer personas. A mix of creator and celebrity assets, coupled with strong product-market fit and strong offers, is key to cutting through noise and driving performance across channels.
S17 E7: The Acquisition Channel JRB Got Wrong ...and How They Fixed It
Q: What are the signals you look for to determine when it's time to start a real TV test, beyond the obvious awareness gains?
Signals include diminishing returns on other channels, halo effects on Meta and search, and measurable improvements in new visitor rate and downstream conversions.
S17 E7: The Acquisition Channel JRB Got Wrong ...and How They Fixed It
Q: How did you decide to start with Christmas remnant inventory for your first TV test, and what was the thinking behind that timing?
They chose remnant inventory around a high-traffic holiday period due to perceived cheaper CPMs and the audience being at home, then tested and refined from there.
S17 E7: The Acquisition Channel JRB Got Wrong ...and How They Fixed It
Q: First of all, how's everything been since last time? I know you've got a couple of big life updates.
Cody explains stepping down as CEO of Jones Road Beauty, remaining on the board and advising, and signals a shift toward advisory roles and exploring new ventures.
