  • Love all the shows!

I love all the shows, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be Yhe Race Communiqué. I love it so much. The combination of insights and humor of those three personalities is SO GOOD.

I also love the long form interviews from LITP and the fast paced Talking Luft episodes. I think my favorite of those is the ep with Adam Blythe. Quality.

I just bought the LITP book! And I’ll be tuning in for all the episodes in future and if I get desperate, I’ll be listening back to some I missed in years pa... more

“Nothing’s finished until it’s finished” Tour de France Rest Day Wrap Up | The Race Communiqué
Q: What stood out this week besides the obvious stage wins and GC moves?
The group discussed the nuanced team dynamics, the role of breakaways, how teams balance their goals across stages, and the strategic decisions behind who starts the break and who supports the riders targeting the GC or green jersey, offering insight into the tactical chess game beyond the headline stage results.
BONUS: Make or Break: How Do Riders Get Selected For The Tour de France?
Q: What change occurred when teams moved to a more decisive Tour strategy as opposed to wait-and-see selection?
Decisive, mission-driven selection created clear purpose and unity within the team, leading to better performance and a sense of shared objective, whereas wait-and-see approaches often led to mixed effort and internal tension.
BONUS: Make or Break: How Do Riders Get Selected For The Tour de France?
Q: What is the emotional impact on riders who are not selected?
Not being selected can be incredibly hard because it affects contracts and career momentum; team executives try to explain the rationale, but the decision remains a difficult, human moment for the rider.
BONUS: Make or Break: How Do Riders Get Selected For The Tour de France?
Q: How does a team decide which riders go to the Tour de France at the start of the season?
Teams plan backwards from the Tour, building leaders and peaking in July while also maintaining reserves in case of crashes, illness, or form shifts; the choice balances leaders' form, sprint or GC needs, and the ability to be useful for the team's overall objective.
The Dauphin… I mean the ‘Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes’ is over. The Tour de France is coming! | The Race Communqiué
Q: What was the impact of the Triple T format on team dynamics and sprint planning?
Teams had to rethink edge cases for finish energy, with four riders to the line creating new lead-out dynamics and requiring careful HP management to keep GC riders fresh for the Tour.
