It is so enjoyable to listen to two other word nerds explore language and the history of words in this way. It is a light hearted and informative exploration of the words that we use every day.
In-depth discussion of individual words, with tons of fun stories and banter along the way. Properly entertaining education!
This is the most fun I’ve had learning in ages!
First of all, words are awesome and, second, the hosts are fabulous!!
I’ve just started getting into etymology and this podcasts is really interesting and enjoyable. Simple to understand, and very well explained when I don’t understand.
Amy and Ryan never fail to entertain. They are huge owrd nerds and they take you along on their wonderful journey of the history of two words per episode. I personally get a bit of a kick any time they break out the ancient tome of synonyms or good old Roget. You will come away with a better understanding of the English language and a good dose of PIE words as well. Always a good time. ~Sandman
