  • Great

Trump is a comic book villain who would have never been taken seriously by an educated electorate. Lever Time does the best it can to keep listeners engaged, and is an antidote to the Trump plague. David Sirota is very serious and deserves to be heard. He supports Bernie Sanders, our only trustworthy politician of this century? Great.

  • Maybe interview more women sometimes

I just scrolled through all guests and from the look of it they’re all men, with the exception of Julie K. Brown, on to talk about Epstein. It’s always so weird when shows do that, like you really could only find one chick to talk to? Ok. I like this podcast but that is such a weird choice for a progressive show.

  • More Leftist Commentary

Sorry to say, but this newscast is not much different in tone and content than what is already pushed out on the 5 major media networks that support the Democratic Party and in particular, self-acknowledged Communist Bernie Sanders. It’s far too left leaning for my news needs and interests, and does little to promote a good working relationship, non-biased discussion, and compromise within our government.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

MONEYBOMB, Part 5: Why Populism Is Now Centrism (With Adam Bonica)
Q: The New York Times editorial argued that Democrats should move to the center to win elections. What was their argument?
Bonica highlights that the editorial claims there is a strong political center rewarding moderate candidates, but he critiques it for misrepresenting data and failing to acknowledge that moderates were already dominating nominations.
MONEYBOMB, Part 5: Why Populism Is Now Centrism (With Adam Bonica)
Q: When we hear that the Democrats should be more moderate, what do you think that means?
Adam Bonica argues that it's not about fighting for the middle ground but building broad coalitions focused on reform, indicating that what is often termed moderation is actually a defense of the old systems rejected by voters.
MONEYBOMB, Part 6: Did A Federal Judge Sink Super PACs? (With Larry Lessig)
Q: What will ultimately, at least you hope, will be at the highest court in the land?
We want the Supreme Court to apply its existing standard to the facts of super PACs and to recognize the risk of corruption they present, allowing for regulations.
MONEYBOMB, Part 3: The Montana Plan To Kill Citizens United
Q: How would this initiative get around the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling?
By changing the definition of corporations' powers at the state level, the Montana Plan aims to limit their ability to engage in political spending without violating the First Amendment.
BONUS: An Exclusive Interview With Graham Platner
Q: What can you guarantee to voters regarding your potential to change once elected?
Platner responds that he acknowledges voter concerns about politicians changing, assuring that he maintains a commitment to progressive values that resonate with working-class needs.
