I’ve followed Oz from The Culture to The Drop to here & (this might be weird) I find his voice super soothing. A part from that I love the topics covered & the takes on this pod. It’s a great sense check on what’s really going on after listening to or reading mainstream media about current news & events.
It’s great to see independent journalism thriving, the team are passionate and provide well researched topics of discussion every week. They leave me challenging my own biases and encourage critical thinking, which is something we can all use more of. This podcast has increased my media literacy and taught me to ask questions when reading articles and presented with facts that are potentially skewed.

Also when it comes to analysis of political situations - rat... more
Fantastic, informed analysis with occasional sweary outbursts so I know it’s not just me feeling gaslit by media complicity and fascist creep. I also appreciate the occasional laugh-out-loud moments to balance the journey through our current hellscape.
