Mavi was one of the first artists I reached out to when deciding to relaunch Kinda Neat, so it's only fitting he ended up as the last guest of this "season" before I take a little summer break. When I reached out I'd recently gotten hip to his triump... more
When ovrkast. came through last year, demahjiae came with him to the studio. I wasn't hip yet, but ovrkast. promised me he was next up. He was right!

SG Ali was brought to my attention by a trusted source and I've loved everything I've heard so far. She has a deeply intuitive sense of melody, and consistently creates inspirational ear worms. Turns out she's been honing her craft since childhood. ... more
Been a Njomza fan for a long time now. After hearing about her way back in 2014, inviting her to perform on the show (I have an unreleased GEM of hers in the archives), and having her play one of my last shows back in 2015, I was thrilled to have her... more
Lou From Paradise hit it big in 2016 with a video that took him from never playing a solo show, to playing festivals within a matter of months. He was quickly swept into the major label system, and describes it as all being too much too soon. Feeling... more
Kipp Stone's 2020 release HOMME was a carefully crafted and perfectly cohesive album. It was a stylistic leap forward for Kipp, and the first time he'd genuinely felt he found his voice on record. "Sprague Street" featuring Mick Jenkins was picked up... more
Was recently put on to Kear and intrigued by her innate pop sensibilities, confident delivery, and sensational ear for beats. The Philadelphia native was on her first trip to Los Angeles and it turns out she may never leave. After only working on mus... more
I came across Airøspace in a Twitter thread. I asked people to put me on to new music, and out of the hundreds of responses, 2020's Senjougahara Hitagi, Vol. IV tape really stood out. His 2019 release Sorry to Bother You further solidified how asleep... more
One of my favorite podcasts that I’ve discovered. Normally I don’t care for interview-structured podcasts, but Lee’s mastery and connection to each guest makes it a great listen.
Love this guys music, such a talented and unique individual. He has an amazing conversational voice and really cares about who he’s interviewing. Super knowledgeable Ana open minded. I’ve discovered dozens of artists through him and I’ve had many life altering thoughts. Love this podcast
Looking for conversations about the origin of artists you maybe haven’t been turned on to yet? Or perhaps interviews with artists you like before they blew up? Do you enjoy adult conversations with musicians. Look no further. After searching high and low for a rap podcast that didn’t insult the intelligence of the artists/fans ‘Kinda Neat’ is what’s up. Lee is a brilliant interviewer and as an artist himself brings a unique and insightful perspective to a genre so often dismissed by the cultural... more
BEST PODCAST EVER
Fully connects with his interview guests. Thanks for showcasing the most creative genres in music.
Super dope podcast! This Bobby Hundreds podcast is my favorite by far. It’s great for humanizing this role model who I place on such a high pedestal and hearing some real life stories and drawing similarities in my own life.
Intuition (lee) is great and facilitates great discussion.
Perfect podcast for those that love to hear newer upcoming artists or just artist that arent as mainstream! Entertaining but also inspiring to hear the success stories you get out of this podcast. As for a recommended guest? Lets hear Michael Christmas and get his name out there! Dude has bars for days.
Lee conducts interesting and funny interviews that I've been enjoying for years. With a great selection of carefully curated guests Kinda Neat is worth a listen!
Being a big fan of Intuition the rapper, I was excited to check out his podcast, and even more excited when it became one of my favorites. Lee is great interviewer, and goes deep with his guests, which I truly appreciate. It's not just boring fluff, but an hour of deep, thought provoking introspection that paints a picture of the true artist and what their music is all about. I can't say I'm a huge fan of all of the guests, but I have found new music through the podcast, and will check out anybo... more
Been listening for almost 3 years. Best podcast out there.
Dope podcast! Could you have painters like seals brock and bluethegreat?
I love this podcast and the way Lee interviews the guests. My favorite part is the intro which includes a story about a recent situation Lee has experienced. Sometimes I only listen to the intro and ignore the actual interview. Lee I just suggest that you 1) stop overusing the word 'compartmentalize' and 2) sometimes you interrupt the guest to insert a personal anecdote and it digresses the original story.
Was a fan of Intuition before finding out he had a podcast. Very relatable guy, and does a great job getting the artists to open up. Highly recommend, especially if you're into hip hop.
Lee is the king of telling it the way it is, a truly genuine and autherntic individual. His interviews are so natural and free of pretension. As a music fan I am so appreciative of the content that Lee and Ben deliver to their people. Some of the best curation around - has been a privelidge to be exposed to such dope taste.
