It’s clear that Clare puts a lot of work in to every episode to ensure that the victims are at the centre of the podcast. And although the episodes can be very upsetting she presents them in an empathetic way. Everyone should listen to this podcast to learn about coercive control and red flags.
Easy to fix..
Came across this podcast recently. I am an instant fan! I really enjoy how Clare presenting style. She centres the victims, she gives factual information. Highly recommend. Noreen K x
I have been listening to Killer in the Family for a couple of weeks. I am a true crime listener. It’s a hard listen but it is well done, episodes are not too long and informative.Hopefully it can help people understand the warning signs, especially coercive controlling behaviours. I have a suggestion for an episode but not sure how to send it. It’s about Robert Farquarson from Australia a truly horrific crime.
Excellent podcast and I can only imagine how difficult it is for you to write and speak these horrific crimes. Well done to you! Your research and reporting is on target. I came to listen to you from your recent interview with Laura Richards. She was right. Your podcast is brilliant. As is her works thank you.

A gripping true-crime series that centers victims in familicide cases, unpacking coercive control, financial manipulation, and safeguarding failures. Across episodes, it weaves meticulous timelines, survivor perspectives, and courtroom details to illuminate how abuse escalates and how systems respond. Notable strengths include a consistently empathetic, non-sensational approach and a focus on prevention, policy change, and remembering those affected. The format often blends background context, expert commentary, and survivor-focused storytelling, making it both informative and emotionally impactful for listeners who want deeper understanding and practical takeaways for safety and awareness.
