I’ve learned a lot from the Crime Analyst because of the evidence and information surrounding the victims. Idolizing or magnifying attributes about the killers is not important; however, solving the crime and remembering the victims is.
I know what your point is. Talk about the victims. Don’t mention the killers’ names. Sorry, good intentions, but those of us interested in true crime are interested in the killer, his motivations, is he a serial killer? What was his life like? Was he pretty ordinary like Bundy or pretty weird like so many others? When did he first kill? Did he want to claim his murders? We want info about the killer(s). Laura Richard’s achieves what the majority of true crime podcasts today really lack! In saying that I mean that Laura successfully delivers in-depth analysis of topical cases, without aiming to sensationalise or trivialise what happened to the victims. Many true crime podcasts unnecessarily focus on the violence and shock value of the case for entertainment purposes. Instead Laura aims to make the world a better place by providing us all with down to earth advice that I know has saved lives.... more
