Loving this podcast. The research, the storytelling & the presenter are excellent. I was a huge fan of Casefile. This is like Irish Casefile. Keep them coming. 👏
This is my favourite podcast . The host , the stories and the way they are told is mesmerising. My only negative is 1 episode a week is no where near enough, we need more !!
I love listening to John he’s so knowledgeable and has such a soothing voice given the subject matter. He narrates horrific crimes in an easy to follow way and as the story unfolds I find myself gasping or crying and feeling every step of the story. Thank you John.
5 stars every episode, highly recommend. The most empathetic and person-centred crime podcast…very personal story-telling by John…above and beyond any other podcast of its kind ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Discovered this podcast recently and am loving it. All the cases are so well explained and I look forward to listening to each one. All the cases were so high profile and written about in the papers but yet this podcast always has the added extra, something I didn’t read or hear about before. The presenter is clearly emphatic to the victim and their family and they are so positively represented through the horror that was those cases. Well done to all involved

Tight, well-researched true-crime storytelling focused on Irish cases, with a steady emphasis on forensic detail, timeline reconstruction, and the human impact on victims' families. Episodes balance meticulous evidence review—from digital footprints and CCTV to DNA and interviews—with compassionate narration that centers survivors and their communities. A standout is the host's professional policing background, which lends credibility to methodical case exploration while maintaining a respectful, non-sensational tone. The show frequently showcases how investigations unfold over years, the role of technology in solving crimes, and the ongoing conversations about justice and memory in Ireland.
