Very interesting cases and clearly well researched. However, I found it frustrating that the presenter often sounded like they were reading directly from a script. The tone can come across as a little fake and overly rehearsed at times, almost AI-generated, which can make it hard to listen to for long periods despite the quality of the content.
Thank you for this excellent podcast. I found it through seeing an ad for Lines of Inquiry on a social media platform—your show is my favorite, LOI is second. I have Irish and Scottish ancestry (50/50) and am a writer of essays and poetry, and an English teacher. I admire your intelligent and candid approach to these stories, as well as the show’s mission about focusing on the people who lost their lives. I’ve listened in Paris as well as here in sunny California, my home. Brava!
Finally a podcast that gives heart rendering accounts on the Victims behalf!! I never miss an episode-fantastically written & so empathetic for the victim who is Always at the centre!
The narrator sounds like she’s reading a script yet not realising she is repeating phrases like ‘ I’d like to flag’ and it’s quiet…not quite. Very annoying.
the research, writing, narrative flow, all absolutely perfect. i don't know if this host has a journalustic background but she is stellar at this.
