Never had a problem with any presentation before I listened to the one about Ana Kriegel. I haven’t heard either of the presenters before but I didn’t like the way it was portrayed there was no sensitivity at all ,they talked over each other all the time and no one needs to hear details like they discussed. They laughed at being unpopular with your teenager. No one gained from this horrific crime and it should have been given more sensitivity.

  • Too many ads

This used to be my favourite podcast but it’s not the same anymore. The ads at the beginning go on for too long and now there are ads in the middle as well. The add-on extract at the end is annoying too.

  • Too many ads

Used to enjoy this podcast, but it has become unlistenable. Selling ads in every available way & place, forced in the middle, massive section of selling the new paid content. Unlistenable.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sister of victim of paedophile Philip Sullivan on her fight for reform after brother's death
Q: What happened to Shane Griffin, and why is it central to your campaign for reform?
Shane was sexually abused by Philip Sullivan as a child, which led to a lifetime of advocacy for care leavers and exposed deep failures in how the system protected vulnerable children; his experiences shaped our drive to push for stronger sentencing and better support for victims and families.
Life and crimes of notorious hitman Lee McDonnell
Q: How did McDonnell begin his path into the criminal world and what early incidents defined him?
His early years showed a pattern of extreme violence and a mentorship by a senior West Dublin gang figure, leading to a string of violent offenses and escalating prison sentences that solidified his notoriety.
Gardaí begin new search for missing women Jo Jo Dullard and Deirdre Jacob
Q: Eimear, there's a lot of activity around these investigations into the disappearances of some of the missing women. More searches have now started.
The team issued a statement confirming a new search is underway for both Deirdre Jacob and Jo Jo Dullard, with focus on a large site near the Wicklow border and continued investigations in related areas.
Daniel Kinahan: King of Spin (Part 1)
Q: Were you surprised to get him on the phone for this conversation, and how was the opportunity arranged?
The host explains that Kinahan's willingness to speak came as a surprising development after years of limited media access, aided by an intermediary and the looming Panorama exposure; Kinahan frames the move as part of his broader media strategy.
Limerick feud 20 years on - where are the gangs now?
Q: What has changed about the dynamics of these gangs since the crackdown years ago?
The conversation suggests that while individuals and high-profile figures have been arrested and sentenced, the core networks and money flows persist, with new generations continuing to operate in similar ways and maintaining connections locally and internationally.
