I'm curious where I stand these days on the political spectrum. I identify as a radical centrist, giving both sides their due and chosing neither (most of the time). But I suppose our views are relative to one another, so my moderate thoughts might s... more
Martin Luther King dreamed that people would one day be judged not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character. How are we doing with that?
It is the moral impulse of many that Palestine is an oppressed victim, exploited by a colonizer apartheid Israel. History doesn't explain this, nor do the religious and cultural differences between Israel and Palestine.
It is more just and virtuous ... more
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been going through quite an interesting set of controversies lately, surrounding their LGBTQ Pride Night in June. It's been pretty silly to watch. And it makes me wonder: why are things that are meant to be inclusive so o... more
A New Yorker died on the subway recently. He was mentally unwell, and the city hadn't done anything productive to deal with his situation, which was ultimately decided in a complicated and controversial form of vigilante justice. This is a teaching o... more
I was banned from several subreddits recently, for merely commenting in a totally separate community. Maybe you think it's a good thing, that certain voices be silenced in order to protect others from dangerous ideas, or something like that. But it m... more
Climate change is a real thing, and I'm not going to say that I don't care about it. But I will say that I don't worry about it to the extent that it feels like we're asked to. I don't see it as the biggest crisis of our time, and in fact, I think th... more
A new study shows that mask mandates were essentially ineffective. The lab-leak hypothosis is being strongly favored by a broad consensus. The impact of the actual corona virus seems less and less fatal, while draconian lockdown measures are proving ... more
Keith is very thoughtful as always. Sometimes I agree and sometimes I don't. But usually I learn something and broaden my perspective
In this episode Keith looks at people as individuals rather than groups. He takes the approach of evaluating individuals based on character rather than skin color. Even though he has lived a very diversified life in the Sacramento area, he does not use it as a tool to virtue signal. He is a slow/careful political thinker which gives him the ability to acquire amble information.
Good commentary. Honest opinion. Some good basic research. BUT some inaccurate terms as well. Why smear "Leftists" by saying that's who's behind the Oberlin hate crime hoax? The Left includes everyone from Chomsky to Mandela to Stalin. Criticize, but be more precise.
This guy makes me think. He pushes the deeper way of considering an issue; eschews the automatic PC for everything; isn’t afraid of being out of the mainstream of accepted thought.
Also, each podcast is better than the one before. He keeps growing in the work. Definitely look forward to what he’ll say next.
You have a great voice and speech , I wish you speak about your real passion. Sounds like you love photography, so why not? What drives you to take pictures? what makes you use your camera? Do you see things with your eyes the way they come out on the picture? Is Berlin beautiful in winter time to photograph? I don’t know, I’m not there and I’m not a photographer.. but I’d listen about other person’s passion. Good luck!
