Kane and Feels is a fun, clever, and super charming podcast. The protagonists (who are brilliantly acted) are always engaging, with great banter but also a throughline of their relationship developing over time. The supernatural elements range from very silly to rather dark in the best way. The main issues holding it back from being a 5/5 for me is the sound design, which is pretty rough in season 1. Sometimes narration is layered over dialogue in a way that makes both very hard to hear. Season ... more
This show is so fun! The banter between Kane and Feels is perfect, it feels like real dialogue. I'm loving finding out more about them and their world.
Character chemistry? Immaculate. Sound Design? *chefs kiss* . Binged this on a road trip , and I couldn’t stop listening.
A wild ride of hot trippy madness with soundscaping that makes you feel like your brain is being pulled out of your ears and tied under your chin. And then there was that one episode which both retraumatised me from my days as a City Councillor and also touched me with how beautiful the ending was. Anyway, make sure you listen with headphones.
This podcast is a WORK OF ART. So skillfully acted and edited and it contains so much character. Kane and Feels remains my favorite podcast of all time and it is always my first recommendation to anyone who approaches me for podcasts. One of the most unique and special worlds ever written, and so expertly crafted, you notice something new with every listen! I don't think there's any other story out there like it, and I'm so excited to see where it goes next!
Judging Kane and Feels after your first listenthrough is like judging an onion by it's skin. You have to peel many layers before you can really taste the sweetness of this delicious podcast.
Brilliantly funny paranormal podcast.
Typically British humour and wit combined with great story lines.
Well worth a listen
Thumbs up for premise, writing, & acting, but I couldn't get through the second season (listening with headphones), no matter how technically well-done the sound design.
The surrealism was perhaps so well- executed, that it made getting past the first episode of the second season impossible for me.
May be worth a listen if you are into buddy-cop, noir detectives, investigating the occult.
Incredibly bizarre and one of my favorites!
Kane and Feels is so delightfully weird, all the time. I have to mention the sound mixing first - it's so incredibly well done in the show, serving both a thematic purpose and just extremely cool audio, that it's become one of the show's greatest strengths.
As well as the story! Once you parse through it, the story is really worth listening to. The first season has these excellent little stand-alone (but not REALLY stand-alone bits) that just have a... more
Never before have I fallen in love with a show just because it's so... weird. The story itself is actually fairly straightforward, but the way it's laid out is so surreal that it takes you 30-40 minutes to unravel something that could theoretically be summarized in three sentences. And it is BEAUTIFUL. It's like being in a freeze-frame of a movie with someone narrating into your ear the backstory of an extra you can barely see leaving the shot, and when you stop to ask "Wait, why is this importa... more
Edit: Pleasantly surprised to find a new one, more is good. Remember to double or triple dosage, tolerance is roughly linear. Keep em coming guys, fine work.
Psychedelic media of all kinds are not suitable for all consumers, five stars.
Hi-Fi audio playback recommended.
What happened to this Podcast? I hate Season 2.
"Protected by Guardians" is the perfect piece of audio fiction. The Daytrippers saga (since the second ep is finally out I can say it) is doing SO much on the technical and narrative level that surely will awe me into the ground once I understand what it's getting at. Definitely worth a listen, both for the writing and experimentation!
I adore this podcast and I really wish ‘Flirting with the Devil’ by Madeline Morris was on Spotify because it’s an absolutely gorgeous song. I really hope there are more episodes coming out because Kane and Feels is so well done. The sound effects, sound track, plot, voice acting, and literally everything bring me so so much joy and I just wanted to say congrats guys because y’all are incredibly amazing.
I’ve had Kane and Feels at my number one sport for favorite podcast for well over a year at his point, and I don’t think that opinion is ever going to change. Everything from the writing to the voice acting to the audio design is absolutely wonderful to me, fitting in with the universe perfectly.
The show is fun and wonky in the best way, with fun episodes that twist the paranormal and horror in the best of ways, and I think about it constantly. There are lines in the show I have memorized per... more
