  • Awesome Podcast

I’ve listened to a lot of movie podcasts, but Just Foolin’ About with Michael Biehn really hits different. Hearing stories from a bloke who actually lived through iconic films like The Terminator, Aliens, and Tombstone is unreal. It’s not polished Hollywood PR talk — it’s honest, funny, and full of behind-the-scenes stuff you just don’t hear anywhere else.

  • The brilliant brain of Michael Biehn

Phenomenal stories about life, movies, history and more, relayed in a meandering, enjoyable and endearing manner somewhat akin to that of a master jazz muscian’s improvisations. The truly wonderful actor Michael Biehn is a superb storyteller and there is no one else like him! Here’s hoping they get Kurt Russell for the show someday. Kudos to Jim and Caelyn for adding much to the conversation as well. Highly recommended!

Roger Avary
Q: How did you come up with True Romance and how did it evolve into the film we know today?
We started with a proto document that blended bits of Natural Born Killers and Pulp Fiction, then continuously rewrote and trimmed it with Quentin until it became a standalone script; the process involved long rewrites, shifting partners, and ultimately aligning with a path to production.

Q: What was your involvement with the legal outcome of the incident where you were shot?
Garrett Warren explained that he was involved in the legal proceedings and decided to take a plea deal for the shooter, prioritizing the wellbeing of his daughter over revenge.

It felt to me that, you know, I learned some new things.
Author Mark Lee Gardner
Q: Did you write in your book that Wyatt Earp's first wife's family was not particularly fond of Wyatt Earp around the time of her death?
I didn't. In my book, but that is a story that's out there.
040: Unfinished Movies & Cancellations During Production
Q: What is the budget for a movie that gets canceled?
It varies, but losing 20 million dollars is a significant concern.
