  • Fantastic Program

This is a fantastic program with a mature experienced host who is orbited by very serious and experienced contributors. There are some added depths with them due to their connections worldwide that I will leave to the listeners to discover on their own. My only reservation is this program should be uploaded daily and not on the hit-or-miss basis it suffers from.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

CPT. Matt Hoh : Will US Troops Fight for a Foreign Country?
Q: My ultimate question to you today, I'm gonna build up to it, is how do American troops feel about fighting for a foreign country?
Matt Hoh suggests that troop morale is strained by engagements that appear to serve foreign interests, emphasizing concerns about the political and strategic directions of the war, planning failures, and the perception that American forces could be fighting for objectives not fully aligned with national interests.
Scott Ritter : Why Iran is Winning.
Q: Is there any possibility for diplomacy or a deal given the current posture?
The guest contends that past negotiations have been undermined by aggressive actions and assassinations, suggesting that a negotiated settlement is unlikely under the current approach unless major shifts in policy and credible diplomacy are pursued.
Scott Ritter : Why Iran is Winning.
Q: Scott Ritter, welcome here, my dear friend. How would you grade or evaluate this Pete Hegseth planned war?
Ritter argues that the plan is ill-conceived, unrealistic, and would be catastrophic, emphasizing that there is no feasible path to a quick victory and highlighting the dangers of attempting a ground invasion without overwhelming force and logistics.
CPT. Matt Hoh : Are US Troops Combat Ready?
Q: What military goal could be achieved by a ground presence if the objectives are to deter or compel Iran?
The guest argues that there is no credible military objective that justifies a ground invasion; such a move would reinforce failure, overextend forces, and give adversaries a platform for a costly, protracted campaign, with little to no strategic gain.
Prof. Jeffrey Sachs : What is There to Negotiate?
Q: What is there to compromise?
Sachs explains that there is no genuine negotiation on offer if leadership is not grounded in facts and accountability, and he emphasizes the need for a credible, lawful process and verifiable concessions rather than bravado.
