  • Strong prediction track record

LTC Davis and his guests accurately described the initial outcome of the Iran war weeks before the first bombs dropped. 2 weeks in their analysis far exceeds both the MSM and Con Inc. podcasts.

  • Good analysis hindered by political bias

I appreciate Dan Davis but am concerned that his libertarian guests are clouding the show’s judgements. Recently, Larry Johnson definitely claimed that the lost KC-135 was “shot down,” essentially claiming CENTCOM PA was lying. Okay to question the govt, but assuming the govt is lying because you see their mouth moving is a bias.

  • Outstanding Podcast

Daniel David’s Deep Dive is quite simply one of the most insightful and intellectually satisfying channels I’ve come across in a long time. What sets Daniel apart is the depth of research and clarity of thought he brings to every topic. Rather than skimming the surface like so many commentators, he carefully unpacks complex ideas, historical context, and competing viewpoints in a way that feels both rigorous and accessible.

Each episode feels thoughtfully constructed. The pacing allows ideas to... more

  • The difference between MSM and public opinion is black and white. Here in New Zealand our govt and media are falling in line like most western countries but people I talk to are starting to see straight through the bs.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Alastair Crooke: IRAN Will NOT Compromise
Q: Could a ground invasion realistically succeed against Iran given terrain and logistical constraints?
A ground invasion is likely to be a catastrophe for the U.S. due to unforgiving Hormuz terrain, Iran's multi-domain defenses, and the risk of broadening the war beyond the Gulf; escalation could instead spread regional conflict.
Professor John Mearsheimer : Trump PULLING OUT of NATO?
Q: Is NATO still a viable alliance, or has this episode effectively ended its relevance for collective defense in the region?
NATO's military usefulness is diminished in practice if European allies do not contribute meaningfully; a withdrawal by the U.S. could irreparably strain transatlantic ties and force Europe to seek greater independence, potentially weakening the alliance.
Professor John Mearsheimer : Trump PULLING OUT of NATO?
Q: What do you think is the most likely outcome if the U.S. and Israel refuse to back down and press for a quick victory?
The war could drag on, with Iran in a strong position to demand concessions, while the Strait of Hormuz remains a critical chokepoint and oil markets remain vulnerable; a rapid exit is unlikely to avoid significant economic and strategic damage.
Col Doug Macgregor: IRAN WAR - The Myth of Air Power
Q: What is the biggest flaw in pursuing a ground-based solution to the Hormuz bottleneck?
The guest contends that attempting to force a strategic change through ground invasion and heavy bombardment would be prohibitively costly, militarily impractical, and unlikely to achieve lasting political objectives, especially given Iran's terrain and deterrence capabilities.
IRAN WAR: The False Narrative They're Trying to Sell Us /Larry Johnson & Lt Col Daniel Davis
Q: How reliable are U.S. air-defense systems like PAC-3 and THAAD in a sustained conflict?
The discussion indicates these systems are limited in number and could be rapidly depleted under continuous ballistic-missile attacks, raising concerns about defense sustainability.
