  • Such a great show

High-level, intelligent conversations that everyone should hear. You’ll learn more about how world events are unfolding by listening to Glenn Diesen for one week than you’ll learn in 5 years of cable news consumption. And I’ve never heard a single advertisement! It’s incredible. It’s almost like he’s doing this show for the right reasons or something.

  • The whole truth?

I appreciate the less well publicized opinions shared. But I can’t understand why Professor Marandi never gets challenged on how the Iran government has terrorized its citizens. He makes a lot of good points about the actions of the US but paints an incomplete (and overly rosy) picture of the Iranian regime. Let’s do truth but not selectively.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Stanislav Krapivnik: Russia's Offensive Gains Speed & Anger Boils Over in Moscow
Q: What are your views on US objectives in Ukraine and how it shapes the conflict moving forward?
The US aims to maintain influence and project global power, funding weapons and networks while managing escalation risk, with a tendency to sustain pressure on Russia rather than seek a quick resolution.
Stanislav Krapivnik: Russia's Offensive Gains Speed & Anger Boils Over in Moscow
Q: How do you think the Iran war ending or scaling down will affect the war in Ukraine?
The US focus may shift or space may open for diplomacy, but in practice, sanctions, weapons support, and strategic posturing suggest the conflict could continue to evolve with the US seeking leverage rather than a quick settlement.
Einar Tangen: Can China Resist the Temptation of Empire?
Q: But I had a last question for you, though, about how optimistic are you that China can avoid, I guess, the lure of empire, because not go down the same path as America, because political realists...
The guest expresses cautious optimism that China can resist empire-like impulses by prioritizing sustainable growth, national resilience, and non-impositional diplomacy, while recognizing that empire can be appealing but believes China's system and values provide a different trajectory.
Ray McGovern: Putin Under Pressure to Retaliate Against NATO
Q: Do you see the escalation? When does it essentially become too risky for Russia not to retaliate against NATO?
He suggests that while there is risk of escalation, the Russian leadership prefers to calibrate responses to avoid a direct war with NATO, using limited retaliation and political signaling rather than full-scale aggression.
Ray McGovern: Putin Under Pressure to Retaliate Against NATO
Q: What are the dilemmas now for Putin and which way do you think it's going to go?
McGovern argues that while Russia is under pressure from drone warfare and Western support, Putin's strategic patience and the fear of provoking a broader NATO confrontation may push him toward measured actions rather than open retaliation.
