  • Unique & good podcast

I am an Australian and started listening to this podcast a couple of months ago after hearing George appear on Piers Morgan’s podcast. I am now a regular listener to this podcast, I don’t agree on all of George’s views but I enjoy hearing a different perspective to the standard West views - especially on China/Russia.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

BREAKDOWN | Day 44 | Iran peace talks fail | Melania and the Epstein Revival | Hungary decides
Q: Were you surprised at the failure of the talks in Islamabad?
Scott Ritter explains the talks are a process and not truly over, noting that the Americans arrived with ultimatums, while the Iranians stayed focused on technical details and refused to fold under bluster, suggesting a difficult but ongoing negotiation rather than a definitive end.
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN | Day 37 | All Hell deadline | US pilot rescued | Satellite war image blackout
Q: Does the action represent a broader strategic miscalculation by the U.S. or is it a necessary response to Iranian threats?
Johnson argues the situation is complex, emphasizing that such operations carry high costs and risk but may be seen by some as a necessary, if controversial, response; however, he cautions against seeing the move as a decisive victory and warns of potential long-term military and political consequences.
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN | Day 37 | All Hell deadline | US pilot rescued | Satellite war image blackout
Q: What happened during the rescue operation and what are the key risks involved?
Johnson explains that the rescue involved multiple aircraft, including Black Hawks and Little Birds, and notes the uncertainty around casualty numbers, the limited combat ranges requiring careful fuel planning, and the possibility that the operation was designed to counter Tehran's strategic challenges rather than simply extract a single airman.
MASTERS OF WAR | Day 19 | Missiles strike Tel Aviv | Iran leaders hit | Trump slams Nato again
Q: What is the current risk of a ground invasion in Iran?
The guest suggests that the deployment of Marines to the region is a signal of escalation, with doubts about a feasible, short-term ground invasion given Iran's defense and regional complexity, and a warning that this could lead to a broader, longer conflict.
STRAIT TALKING | Day 33 | Trump’s hissy fit | Threatens to quit Nato | China in Iran peace bid
Q: Are you expecting an American invasion of your country to be announced tonight?
No one can predict with certainty what Trump will do, but the administration seems aware that a land invasion would be disastrous; the likeliest scenario may involve signaling victory or issuing concessions rather than a full-scale invasion.
