Addendum: came back to hear what Scott’s take was on recent developments in the Middle East but was very disappointed that he was seriously downplaying what happened on October 7. Have you not seen the videos of the terrorists chasing down unarmed concert goers and murdering them. The old lady being kidnapped in a golf cart? That was no military op. What was the objective? No terrain being held. No strategic advantage gained. It was straight up murder. Then the terrorists who manage to ge... more

  • Taking a break

I generally like the podcast and think Scott is well informed and very reasonable with his take on things even if I might disagree with him on some points. Many of his guests however are Hamas apologists. Scott acknowledges that Hamas engaged in beyond the pale terrorism on Oct 7. But guest after guest refuses to acknowledge the fact that despite the video of Hamas shooting defenseless fleeing or surrendering civilians, Hamas engaged in indefensible atrocities. One clown, trying to defend Hamas,... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

3/26/26 Dan Vergano: Iran was Nowhere Close to a Nuclear Bomb
Q: What do we know about Iran's nukes?
Vergano explains that enriching uranium to 60% and stockpiling 440 kilograms does not equate to near-term weaponization; weapon-grade enrichment (around 90%) and ammunition-grade design are separate hurdles, and current assessments do not indicate an imminent capability. He emphasizes consulting scientific and intelligence expertise to understand the actual barriers and timelines.
3/19/26 Patrick Pillow on Washington’s Preferred Method of Regime Change
Q: How does external involvement influence these revolutions versus domestic dynamics?
External involvement is discussed as influential through funding, media support, and organizational networks, but there's emphasis on the complexity of causation, where domestic political cultures, leadership decisions, and momentary strategic opportunities also play crucial roles in determining outcomes.
3/19/26 Patrick Pillow on Washington’s Preferred Method of Regime Change
Q: What exactly is a color-coded revolution and what are the main examples you review?
A color-coded revolution is a nonviolent or semi-violent movement characterized by a symbolic color and a sequence of coordinated actions that lead to regime change or leadership turnover, with Serbia, Georgia, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan among the core examples discussed, showing how these events evolved from local grievances to international attention.
3/19/26 Larry Johnson on the Ongoing and Coming Failures in the US and Israel’s War with Iran
Q: What is your interpretation of Netanyahu's influence on Trump's decision to strike Iran?
Netanyahu and his allies are described as major influencers who pressured Trump, but the guest argues the decision was a joint U.S.-Israel effort with broader geopolitical objectives, not solely Netanyahu forcing the move.
3/3/26 Daniel Davis on Trump’s Dangerous New War with Iran
Q: What does your view foresee about the immediate military feasibility of such a strike against Iran?
The plan would likely face significant pushback from Iran's defenses and internal resilience, and the ability to sustain a long campaign with existing stockpiles and production capacity is questionable; the situation could spiral into broader chaos rather than achieving a decisive victory.
