「皇民化的客家戲」
是指日治末期（約1937年至1945年）受日本殖民政府「皇民化運動」影響而變質的客家戲曲。
當時傳統漢人戲曲因具中國色彩遭嚴格管制甚至禁演，藝人們為求生存，被迫配合政策改穿和服、說日語、演日本軍國主義故事，發展出極具時代特色的過渡期產物。
