  • I still wish this podcast would come back

I delayed listening to the 11th episode for almost three years now, because I fear it’s the last episode ever. I finally listened to it today. This was such a great podcast. And such a comfort in the early days of the pandemic

  • Two great podcasters, together?!

You must Remember This was my first fall-in-love podcast. Honestly, I’d listened to podcasts before, but Longworth’s was the one I listened to continuously, on repeat. I still do, when I need to escape into a world that isn’t my life (I.e. nightly). The Memory Palace has my heart. DiMeo’s cadence, storytelling, and the atmosphere he creates is perfection. Combining the two hosts, though in a different type of podcast—sign me up! I love it. I expected to, and I do.

  • I want more! Keep going!

I love having homework during lockdown. This podcast gives me movies to watch, I never would have thought of. My only two complaints are that some of the movies they talk about aren’t easy to find on streaming sites and they haven’t posted in awhile. But I still love it, also it kind of feels like a supergroup - since Karina and Nate host two of my favorite podcasts outside of this.

  • Very Engaging

Love this podcast. Fascinating movies, intelligent conversation and it's fun! Would love to watch films with these folks. They talk about films I've never heard of but now want to watch. Wish there were a new one I could listen to right now.

  • Engaging and lovely

I’m in love with this podcast. You’ll watch movies you may never have thought to watch, and afterwards you’ll have the perspective and discussion of Karina and Nate to listen to. It’s like all the benefits of a film study class, except the teachers are funny and there’s no paper to write.

  • Two big thumbs up!

Listening to this podcast feels like being a part of a conversation with friends. Karina Longworth and Nate DiMeo know their stuff and manage to keep the convo casual and engaging even if you haven’t seen the film they’re discussing. The guests they have on the podcast gel well with the general vibe too. I highly recommend this, whether you’re a seasoned film buff or someone who only watches movies casually.

  • Great hosts

These two are my favourite podcasters and hearing them talk about great movies is like listening to good friends wear a lot of learning very lightly while being very interesting. Recommended

  • Such a poor premise...

Two hosts talk at length about why they never watched a particular film when it first came out (which is about as tedious as it sounds). Then they watch it and, hey, turns out it was pretty good. Who knew? Wow, what incredible insight. Utterly lame. Would recommend The Next Picture a Show for some decent critical opinion.

  • Great!

This was delightful to listen to. My only qualm was the implication that “The Terminal” was not a great film. I love

    that movie!

  • Delightful

I could listen to Karina talk about movies 24/7 but Nate’s voice adds an unexpected and welcome added dimension. The first episode’s “Cast Away” discussion was warm and insightful. With special guests like Rian Johnson and Amy Nicholson, I can’t think of better virtual companions to share my confinement!

  • So looking forward to more

This show is such a delight to listen to. I honestly listened to the first episode without having seen the movie and even being in the dark, it was still a great listen. Two podcasters that know how to make great content. I didn’t have any doubt that this would be good but I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. I know it just started but I wish there was more!
