Love this pod and how casual and natural you all sound while making me reconsider things about movies i never thought about. Also: so funny!
As a longtime follower of Max's work, I can attest that it's difficult to navigate the world of film criticism with integrity and a voice that has meaning to people. I'd like to think I'm a good judge of character when it comes to writers and creators, so I say with the utmost confidence that Covill et. al are some of my favorite in the space. You can do no better if looking for a film podcast.
Love the film reviews and news and their take on the entire film world! Can’t wait to listen to more!
I really enjoy how the host analyze film. They are thoughtful and seem to really love film. Looking forward to listening to more episodes!
It's the Pictures is not your typical film review podcast, and I mean that in the best way. The show offers in-depth coverage of film news, film festivals, and the latest releases. Max and John also do fun unique segments you won't find elsewhere like a summer movie draft, and themed episodes about disaster movies, holiday movies, and most recently, basketball films (in honor of March Madness).
