  • Commercial Fishing in the ocean…

I just listened to episode 7 where you guys talk about Washington’s ban on fishing from a boat on the OP. As someone who lives on a SW WA winter steelhead river I bare witness to the effects a volcano, logging, fishing and climate change have on a system. I’d be curious to know if there are any studies that look at the effects of ocean commercial fishing in BC and how many WA/OR salmon and steelhead they catch either intentionally or unintentionally? My understanding is that many of the OP and... more

  • Vokey fills a desperately vacant niche

This podcast was a welcome surprise when I found it. As with all things human, there are multiple angles from which to view an issue. This podcast provides a discussion forum for those most intimately familiar with an issue to present their view and why they hold it. Science is welcome whenever science is being developed on the issue.

  • Excellent, thoughtful review of the science

It’s so refreshing to listen to a discussion by experts who are driven by scientific inquiry rather than simply arguing on behalf of one side or the other.

  • Great episode but deer are not ferals

A great podcast but people get confused about what is and what isnt a feral animal. Just because an animal isnt native doesnt mean it’s feral. Pig, Goats, Camels etc in Australia are domestic animals living wild, Feral animals. Deer in Australia are introduced game animals, never were domesticated, not ferals. A whole Podcast right here. Keep up the great work 👌👍
