This Troutbitten Skills Series and these platforms are an effort to pass along the idea that fly selection doesn’t have to be regimented or complicated. Instead, see flies for what they have in common. Find their similarities rather than their differ... more
It's time for the big-meal dry fly platform: hoppers and stoneflies.
When we open our fly boxes, we’re looking for a solution. If trout are sipping tiny olives in a soft tailout, we probably reach for the low-riding, vulnerable look of a Comparadun ... more

Appreciate the information. Really enjoyed the Dry Fly Parachute and Comparadun episodes
I love the Troutbitten Podcast and every contributor. Dom is a great guide and friend. I, conservatively, have listened to every one of these podcasts multiple times and have studied the Skill guides. All the episodes are great, but, you absolutely have to make sure you check out the ‘Airing of Grievances’ ones…they are the best thing on the internet when it comes to fly fishing. Seriously, this is the podcast, website and YouTube channel for people that love fly fishing for wild trout.
The tips, tricks and lessons, heck even the banter between the guys, has been incredibly educating and has seriously upped my fishing game.
The website has been a constant resource for me, the YouTube videos solidify those lessons and the podcast gets you thinking. I’ve a long way to catch up to the most recent episodes, but I’m loving the journey to it.
Thank you guys, don’t stop what you’re doing, it really is making a difference.
One of the best choreographed podcast for the person that has been bitten by the trout and fly fishing bug.
The conversations are insightful, entertaining and good length. Keep it up.
