Joe is correct in his diagnosis of what’s wrong in California. It’s true it is completely broken. But his logic doesn’t hold up. If everyone like Joe with the means to fight and try to enact change in California leaves, then who will be left to fix the state? Joe is relying on California to collapse under its own failure but who knows if that ever would take place or if it would take 100 years, it’s not the best approach.
I think these guys for the most part are pretty reasonable and have interesting discussions. I like the podcast and will keep listening but listening to the recent family policy episode made me realize they are lacking in female perspective. The episode focused on how to make it easier to have families, and the idea of childcare subsidies was passed along as a push for 2 worker homes - what they don’t mention is that when women have no personal income, they risk being trapped in all sorts of awf... more

Odd thing about TV and movies- not all whites are malevolent but basically all malevolent characters in any of these shows are in fact whites. Sort of patronizing?
