I am a commercial airline pilot who just listened to Episode 1. It was very difficult for me to listen to the full episode due to the constant giggling and banter with the unknowledgeable cohost. Additionally, the cavalier approach to discussing an aircraft crash in which four people lost their life was undignified and overly simplified. After finishing Episode 2 which had a different but equally annoying giggling sidekick, I really don’t understand why the host chose this two-person approach. N... more

Just started listening, this has to be one of the best aviation podcasts out there. I’m a first officer myself, and it’s rare to find such an accurate and well-researched podcast that also does a great job of spinning a story. Could not recommend more.

Shannon is awesome and so thorough, but you could literally mute the cohosts’ mics and lose nothing from the overall story.
The Tenerife episode was amazing, but the I’m pretty sure the cohost had a fake accent and her “contributions” were vapid.
I listen despite the cohosts because the research done by Shannon of these events is so beautifully detailed and thorough.

Listened to episode 22 re PSA crash. The cohost she sure found the whole scenario HILARIOUS!! Really distasteful. Like an old morning zoo on FM radio. I’m a huge aviation geek but will get my history elsewhere if those is the tone of the show.
