I came across this as recommended by Mike from murder milebabsolutely loved the jury Ouija board episode now I’ve subscribed and going to listen to all of them sooo interesting and beautiful scripting
I do enjoy the show and there’s a lot to like about it. However, the writing feels overly shaped by AI — particularly in the delivery. The constant stream of short, punchy sentences starts to feel formulaic and a bit mechanical over time.
A more natural, human voice — with variation in rhythm and tone — would really elevate the listening experience and make it feel more authentic and engaging.
Loving the range of stories and Elizabeth’s tone and sensitivity towards subjects.
So well written. Superb use of language takes this podcast into realms above the average. Well worth a listen.
Been listening since the start of season 2 and really enjoying the mix of stories. Elizabeth is a great narrator!

The show blends true crime with the paranormal, delivered through cinematic storytelling and rigorous research. Each episode unfolds real cases where belief in the unseen intersects with danger, covering topics like haunted objects, cults, investigations into notorious mysteries, and eerie folklore. A distinctive strength is the host's journalistic rigor paired with parapsychology-informed curiosity, creating suspenseful, human-centered narratives that probe why fear and belief drive behavior. This mix of investigative storytelling and supernatural inquiry likely appeals to listeners who enjoy thoughtful, atmospheric true crime with a belief-suspense angle, rather than straightforward procedural crime.
