  • Awesome

Have recently found this podcast and I am thoroughly enjoying it. The episodes are precise and to the point so the listener doesn’t get bored or turn off before reaching the end. I am only on series 5 so have a long way to go before I am fully caught up. Loving the banter and waffle that Stuart brings to the show especially the ‘Dad’ facts His research is spot on and Stuart comes across with a lot of empathy and respect for the victims and the victims family. Well done Stuart keep up the good wo... more

  • Best podcast out there

Hi Stuart! I stumbled across your podcast October last year on Spotify. I listen to your podcast while I’m driving around at work. You do a fantastic job of keeping it short and sweet, without leaving details out! I’m about half way through season 8 currently, loving it all!

  • Proper enjoyable

Listened to one of Stu’s podcasts by chance and enjoyed it so much I had to go back and listen to the back catalogue. I asked him once about Peter Moore but he’d already covered it. I think the time he takes over the research and the little bits of information he gives before each story is invaluable. I’ve been a fan of true crime for 20 years and some of these cases, I’ve never heard of or come across so it’s interesting to hear about the lesser known murders and murderers in the UK. Keep it up... more

  • Proper job!

So good to have a show dedicated to British true crime, in an endless stream of American podcasts. It’s well researched and presented, and the hosts northern accent isn’t bad either 🤣 Thanks for keeping this southern lass entertained! (It would be nice to hear an episode dedicated to the various patients of Broadmoor Hospital, as I live right next to it)

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Crime Roundup: March 2025
Q: What advice would you give if there's any delivery drivers listening?
It's important for delivery drivers to secure their vans and lock up every time they leave them to prevent theft and potential encounters with criminals.
The Crime Roundup: February 2025
Q: Do you think the suspect being a police officer could hinder the outcome of a trial potentially?
I hope not. It shouldn't, but there's always that possibility given the influence and connections some may have.
The Crime Roundup: February 2025
Q: How do you think an individual can pull off such a large scale fraud? Do you think COVID is the main reason?
Prisons should protect the public from potential harm, not necessarily house fraudsters who aren't a direct danger to society.
The Crime Roundup: February 2025
Q: What's your view on that story, Stuart?
It annoys me so much that grown men, approaching 30, can act this way and there's a lack of respect in public.
Interview #67 | Down the Road: Aaron Vodovoz and Annelise Bianchini discuss the UK revival of Lee Blessing's play
Q: What themes does the play address?
It questions media's portrayal of serial killers and who actually benefits from that attention.
