The move came from recognizing a need for better support, education, and transparency. I replicated the standards I had built in egg donation and applied them to surrogacy, elevating ethics and care to ensure families and donors are truly supported.

Q: Did you always want to be a mom, and what did that look like for you beyond simply having children?

I always wanted to be a mom, but more than just having kids, it was about building a family with meaningful relationships and a long‑term view of how we support and connect with each other.

Q: Tell me about five IUIs.

Savannah explains that they started with natural attempts for about three years, then moved to IUIs funded by insurance coverage. They did five IUI cycles, sometimes using back-to-back single inseminations (double insemination) over two consecutive days to maximize chances, but none resulted in pregnancy, leading them to pursue IVF.
